Castello di Amorosa Winery: The American Castle

Under the tutelage of 30-year veteran winemaker Brooks Painter, the wines of Castello di Amorosa sparkle with brightness and a visit to the castle will be quite memorable. We just completed two days of filming for a video series, which will air on NBC Chicago Nonstop this fall, on the grounds. We had actresses, wardrobe consultants, makeup artists and a host of great personalities, not the least of which was Dario Sattu himself. Take a look at this setting and you'll understand why it's a MUST STOP on your next trip to Napa Valley.

The tasting room is bursting with history and nostalgia and the tasting of a range of white and red wine is astounding. What a great experience we had. Come take a look and click through a gallery below to join the crew in their visit. Stay posted for more posts in Washington Wine Country, my next stop for the week of August 24.
