Add some color to your makeup bag this winter

Sunless days may bring on the blues, but cosmetic companies are brightening makeup palettes with sunny hues of blue — turquoise, teal and aqua. “The most impactful way to wear turquiose on the eye is by using it as the focal point of the makeup,” says M.A.C. Senior Artist Keri Blair. “Just like wearing a bright necklace or great earrings, a vibrant eyeshadow can be the center accessory of your look.” For drama, try blue shadows on upper lids. “Apply Estée Lauder's new Cyber Eyes Pure Color Gelée Powder EyeShadow in Cyber Teal to your eyelid, starting at the lashline, blending over the lid and into the crease,” advises Rick DiCecca, Estée Lauder global makeup stylist. “Be sure and buff out shadow in the crease to blend.”
