Bringing Interior Design Outdoors

Spring Fling at Chicago’s Merchandise Mart Design Center presented new outdoor furnishings for the season. The trend is to make our outdoor spaces – patio, terrace, balcony – into a bonus room during the warmer seasons. Sun protection and shading outdoor spaces is another focus. Keep these concepts in mind as you see outdoor furnishings in stores and online.

I’ve taken an overview of some of the new showrooms and products from the design show last week. And don’t forget the Outdoor Furniture Sale at the Merchandise Mart the first week in May.
