Carrie On Joins TCW

I joined TCW as managing/digital editor over a year ago, so I figured it was about time I join the ranks as one of our official bloggers. But what do I blog about? I’m not an interior decorator, a mom, professional traveler, doctor, et cetera. Am I an expert in anything? No…because, as Sherren Leigh would say, “You never stop learning.”

But I’ve certainly experienced a lot. Whether it’s been heartbreak, sickness or death, I’ve been around terrible circumstances and tragic situations since I can remember. I can count the number of people I know under the age of 30 who’ve passed away…on more than my own two hands. My father left when I was very young. And over a year ago, I became ill and still don’t have a diagnosis from any of my six physicians. But you’ll read more about all of that later.

“Carrie On” isn’t just a pun on my name. It’s a blog about how to push through life when you’re handed one too many curve balls. It will be sad, funny, hopefully thought-provoking and completely personal. So I hope you’ll come along with me on this journey of reflection and discovery, as I open up about my own experiences and share the thoughts of other women warriors (and maybe some men!) who live every day like it’s their last.
