Face Fall

Seasons change and a visit to a cosmetics counter showcases makeup that’s as colorful as the falling leaves.

SMOOTH TRANSITION
It’s hard to resist the jewel tone shades of eye color this fall. The tones are vibrant, while lip color is subtle, and the new technology literally has these dark-perfected shades lightening up. Result? Perfect for daytime and with a little modification – read: heavier hand – an easy transition into evening, which according to Camp Cosmetics Makeup Artist/Founder Michael Perich, “should take at the maximum three minutes.”

He recommends applying a brow-colored eyeshadow to fill in brows. His pro tip: “Your eyebrows should always begin lining directly up with the tear ducts.” shares Mr. Perich. Want more drama? Simply dampen an angle brush and line the inside lower tear line with a black eyeshadow like Camp Cosmetics Eyeshadow in Blackjack.

The Daytime Look

For daytime, Factor Emerging Artist Kat D prefers her go-to staples like Smith’s Rosebud Salve, which she says is “the perfect hint of pink,” MAC Powder Blush in Blushbaby, “one of the most staple blushes – that perfect neutral pink,” and a single coat of basic black mascara.
