Did you know? The last working farm in the city limits is located in Mount Greenwood at the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences (CHSAS). Opened in 1985, CHSAS offers urban students with talents in science and math the unique opportunity explore the business and labor sides of agricultural. And in the summer, the school’s farm stand is open Monday-Friday, 8:45AM-1PM at 3857 West 111th Street, offering a variety of fruits and veggies from watermelon and cantaloupe to butternut squash and eggplant.
