Growing Cities Documentary

I had an amazing opportunity to see a screening of the film Growing Cities at a recent event at Farmhouse in Evanston. The film looks at the role of urban farming in America. It asks us to look at how much power “growing in cities”  has to revitalize our cities and change the way we eat

In their words: “In their search for answers, filmmakers Dan Susman and Andrew Monbouquette take a road trip and meet the men and women who are challenging the way this country grows and distributes its food, one vacant city lot, rooftop garden, and backyard chicken coop at a time.” Once of the sponsors of the film is The National Young Farmers Coalition, which represents, mobilizes and engages young farmers to help ensure their success. They are working with the Growing Cities team to provide accompanying resources for aspiring farmers.

Please share and pass the word around so we can keep growing in our cities.
