Hunter III Napa Valley Wines

Vineyards surrounding the St. Helena location.

Sharing another fabulous tasting of a new label I discovered on this visit to St. Helena in the Napa Valley…enjoy this virtual tasting of Hunter III Napa Valley wines.

Winemaker/owner Rob Hunter sources his grapes from some of the top vineyards in the valley, ranging from Mt. Veeder to Rutherford. Starting with the white Sauvignon Blanc, and onto the Petite Sirah Rouge, these wines have a weight and depth that set them apart. Rich and velvety reds, their Cabernet Sauvignons are king (classic Bordeaux blends with a hint of Cab Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot), although the Reilly’s Red, a blend of Petite Sirah and Zinfandel holds it’s own, ringing in at a super reasonable price point ($50).

You can check out specific tasting notes and review on their site. Consider joining their mailing list to stay on top of new releases. Better yet, check out their wine club and you’ll be sure not to miss the small quantities that are released. I consider this a great find so put it on your list next time you visit the area.
