When a rock star has it all – a gifted voice, talented songwriting and good looks – what more can one ask for? Lovehammers musician Marty Casey not only sings his heart out on stage, but he also gives back to his community.
Mr. Casey and business partner Marla Zegart started Silver Elements Collection five years ago, boasting sterling silver (.925) jewelry…think rock star glam. New this holiday season, Silver Elements is donating a portion of proceeds from the sale of its ‘Strike a Chord’ guitar pick silver charm, which retails for $40, to the American Cancer Society.
When they launched Silver Elements, Mr. Casey utilized his creative skills in music to inspire the designs of the jewelry. The collections are named after his hit songs including “Trees” and “I See Stars.” The first item of the Stars collection is a silver dog tag necklace with a tree on it, which benefits one of his favorite organizations, American Forests. Thousands of trees have been planted from the donations from Silver Elements. Mr. Casey’s co-designer, fashionista Marla Lenza Zegart says, “Giving back rocks.”
Mark your calendar: Ms. Zegart will be hosting a pop-up shop, Excentrique Elements, filled with items from Chicago designers, as well as designers and artists from around the world. Expect to find unique and extraordinary gifts for those hard to buy for friends and family members. The pop-up shop will be open from Friday, November 29 through Tuesday, December 31 at 3824 York Road, 2nd floor, in Oakbrook.
Silver Elements is doing their part to make a difference in the lives of others…pay it forward and start your holiday shopping today.
