Neiman Marcus Launches Ken Downing Gift Collection

Neiman Marcus Michigan Avenue, along with the Chicago Children’s Museum, hosted a champagne reception with holiday treats as they unveiled the Ken Downing Gift Collection on Wednesday, November 20. Mr. Downing, Neiman Marcus’ fashion director, chose 37 extraordinary gifts for the collection varying in prices starting at $28 (Zubels’ animal hats and dolls) to $1,795 (Alexander McQueen Brittania clutch).

Not only will the collection make holiday shopping easier this year, but it will also benefit The Heart of Neiman Marcus Foundation, a national program benefiting art programs and experiences for children. All 41 Neiman Marcus stores are participating by selecting a local ‘arts education’ organization that will receive 10% of the sales from these items. The Michigan Avenue store chose the Chicago Children’s Museum as its beneficiary this year.

Designers in the collection include Chanel, Tory Burch, Charlotte Olympia, William Yeoward, Alexis Bittar, John Derian, Nest, John Hardy, Autumn Cashmere, Alexander Wang, Moncler and Ray-Ban, among others.

So many choices, so little time. Here is my list for Santa: Tom Ford Beauty Limited Edition 12-piece lipstick set, $588; Mrs. John L. Strong paper calendar with metal stand, $125; Alexander McQueen Brittania clutch, $1,795; Ercolano game box with cards & dice, $450; Jonathan Adler needlepoint pillows, $165-175; and Ippolita bangle sets, $795.
