During my visit to the Wine Educators Academy, I found Pope Valley, California was absolutely stunning.
Pope Valley is an unincorporated area inside Napa County, just east of Calistoga in the Vacas Mountains. Who knew this community produced grapes used in making St. Supery wine?
Their estate bottling comes from the grapes grown right on the Napa Valley property on Highway 29. This family owned winery is best known for their Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and other Bordeaux blends with so many different bottlings that I can’t begin to list them all.
These wines are readily available here in Chicago and online. See my visual tour of the vineyard property with Vineyard Manager Josh Anstey, and take a sneak peek at the newly remodelled winery, a must stop for any visitor to the Napa Valley.
