Meet Today’s Chicago Woman’s top singles – and learn more about them!

Selecting this year’s Top Singles was no easy task. To be a TCW single, you need to be well-rounded with a sparkling personality and stellar professional/charitable contributions. And it doesn’t hurt if you’re a little easy on the eyes. In 2014, we found an impressive mix of entrepreneurs, health professionals, media personalities and more. Overall, it’s an eclectic group of good-natured singles that you’d probably either want to date, fix up with your best friend, or if you’re ‘of a certain age,’ introduce to your daughter or son. So have a look and see if anyone piques your interest!

The photographs in this feature were taken by Adrian Orozco and Ashley Fischer at ¡AY CHIWOWA! on Chicago Avenue, at an exclusive party to introduce the single women and men to each other.

Friends say I’m old-school, funny, confident, stubborn at times but have a big heart and good work ethic. Many of my friends would consider me family.
The great thing about my job is I get to make memories for people. It’s a great feeling to be part of someone’s happiness. Plus, I absolutely love where I work and am surrounded by great people who make it awesome to come to work every day.
My life motto is…I don’t live by mottos or others’ expressions on what life should be. I have had some great mentors and soak up any knowledge I can about my surroundings and the ways of the world. I follow my heart and, whether good or bad, I step with confidence.
On my day off, you’ll find me under the covers. Otherwise, I’m enjoying good food and potentially offensive humor with friends.
If I won the lottery, I’d be going to the bank to make sure the deposit cleared. Then, buckle up…things might get a little crazy.
My best day is tough to choose. The best year, best month, maybe even best week but the single best day I cannot do. Life is a beautiful thing. I have and plan to enjoy as much as I can.

My biggest fear is a sinking ship in the middle of the ocean, ever since Shark Week a couple years back. Thirsty for water all around you that you can’t drink with thousands of creatures lurking in depths of the darkness below? No thank you.
Date me because I’m a gentleman. Interested or not, you will have a great time with many laughs and will be treated like a lady.
I wish I’d known at 21 that truly good things take time and quality of character is your best investment. That, and the Super Bowl winners for the last eight years would be great, too!
My ideal partner is someone who smiles in the morning. A caring, confident woman who isn’t afraid to be herself and can put me in check. Intelligent, ambitious, beautiful, and appreciates the importance of me being the man I need to be.
My favorite date spot is a small, off-the-beaten-path spot that few know about but a great place to make ‘ours.’ You didn’t think that I was actually going to tell you!?

I like to keep my dates open to some spontaneity. Usually I’ll make reservations at a few spots, get an idea for what is going on around town and then let the conversation lead the night.
